3 Words

Trudge

Through

Fog

This post was made in response to the Trifecta Writing Challenge weekend Trifextra prompt, in which the editors asked us to sum up our own writing process with just three little words

In my case, it’s all right there in the name of my blog. If you want the long version of my writing process, you can read what I wrote a little over a year ago On Writing in the Interstices. (Incidentally, I’d love to know your thoughts regarding that piece.) And it’s always worth reading what Neil Gaiman has to say about it, right there on the right-hand side of this page. He also sums up why I write in three little words: sometimes you fly.

I love how you summed up your process, and I especially like trudge. It aptly describes my process at times-like my hands as well as my brain are weighted with lead.

    Excellent three words!

Bonus points for the Neil Gaiman tie-in. Of course, bonus points don’t count (that wouldn’t be exactly fair) but still…bonus points! And lovely advice, too.

    Thank you for linking up!

Yes, exactly! I seriously wrestled with some other words and phrases until I realized that my blog title already said it all. Thank you – “memorable” is a huge compliment!
