Colors

Colors have connotations. They imply. Your voice, tinged with ochre, reflects the westward sky and I think of endings. I deflect, offer up my blue eyes, distant and deep as night. You smile.

That wasn’t what I meant.

This post was made in response to the Trifecta Writing Challenge Trifextra prompt:

Plenty of times over the past two and a half years, we’ve given you the beginning of a story and asked for you to complete it.  This time, we are giving you the end, and we are asking you to start it for us.  We want 33 words in addition to and preceding the following:

That wasn’t what I meant.

So, to clarify, you write 33 words and then you tag on the five that we’ve given you.  Our five come after your 33 for a grand total of 38.

This truly is gorgeous, Christine! And I have to agree with Kymm! There’s no better way to get across the magnitude of the beauty of this piece than what she said! Well done!
