I love this image! The last line particularly was gorgeous and well-phrased (loved your use of “thus). I do think “gloriously” felt a little awkward – maybe because of the grammar? But on the whole I really enjoyed it. The poem is romantic, of course, but also a little unnerving – it reminds me of werewolves and fairy rings and everything uncanny that’s associated with big, intoxicating moons.
(Related – if you’ve never heard Schoenberg’s “Moondrunk,” you should definitely give it a listen! It’s a creepy, strange piece of music that this poem reminded me of, and I think it fits super well with your aesthetic here.)
This was lovely – although I really wanted to know why you thought that. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Beautiful. I love the internal rhyming and how it flows.

I liked the lunar imagery here as well. 🙂

I agree with Melony and Cobwebs above. Gloriously seemed a tad out of place, but it was a lovely couplet anyway.

What a lovely little couplet. Gloriously did seem out of place, but I just loved the beautiful image I saw when I read it.
